To develop and manage a portfolio of corporate/consumer solutions which will enhance the profitability of the Warid business as a whole.
Manage the rollout of forecasted suite of P&S earmarked for the year in consultation with the head of department
Manage the product and project managers in the successful rollout of the P&S
Be responsible for the achievement of revenue targets set by HOD relating to the product portfolio under his/her team
Hire, guide and council the human resources within the department
Develop complete product plans and roadmaps belonging for the products of responsibility.
Monitor products behavior and performance and suggest enhancements and changes for better product profitability.
Initiate product campaigns and promotions development in coordination with the marketing communication team during product launch and throughout the product life cycle.
Develop the product concept document to be used by the technical units.
Define the mini business case, business attribute and complete business case in collaboration with Pricing and recommend on the final pricing for products.
Agree with marketing communication and with the commercial departments on the delivery channel of the products.
Identify with sales lead customers and trials. Directly manage initial engagement to ensure success and extract replicable value propositions.
Ensure and validate that end user testing is completed by all concerned.
Support sales in offering product/service packages.
Key product deliverable in agreed project time frame ranging between 3 to 6 months. Including the timely rollout of products and meeting the revenue targets for all the products assigned according to the projections agreed to.Required Skills
First class customer facing skills with the ability to listen analyze scenarios and communicate back solutions in the customers language.
Deep understanding of the mobile wireless business, particularly at the services level
Good understanding of GSM and wireless protocols
Project management/Product management experience
Extensive experience in the cellular industry with particular concentration in customer facing wireless services.
Strong understanding of the business drivers of carrier service deployment in GSM networks.
Experience either in a operator as product or solution lead for significant revenue bearing services, or in an account facing solution vendor is required.
Familiarity with business analytics and out of the box approach to solutions a strong positive
