Job Purpose:

Responsible for solutions and performance of Transmission Access Network

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and BOQ finalization/verification with vendors
• Design KPI Management with Vendors
• High level design of SDH, PDH and IP MW Network
• Capacity Planning of Access MW & Lease Line Networks
• Commercial analyses for technically viable cases to reduce/save CAPEX/OPEX
• Planning of various Abis-Optimization schemes to save OPEX on leased terrestrial and satellite routes
• Coordination with other Transmission Design teams
• Coordinate with BSS, RF and NSS design teams as appropriate
• Liaison with O&M Team for performance management of Access Transmission Network
• Performance analyses of existing Access Transmission Network for further design improvements to help O&M teams as per ITU guidelines
• Trending and utilization Reports on various routes
• Database Transmission Performance Stats Reports
• Preparation and submission of Daily/Weekly/Monthly Reports

SDH & IP Networks
Diversity anfd protection schemes/methods
Terrestrial and Satellite communications
Understanding of Transmission KPIs as per ITU Standards
Understanding of Overall GSM Network Architecture
Expertise on Microwave planning tool loike budgeting etc
