Job Objective:
The role holder is responsible for the optimization of the regional part of Warid Telecoms cellular network to meet business requirements and to manage regional optimization team , providing line management, setting direction, vision and objectives for the regional office
Job Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the other Regional Manager, radio network performance team and National Optimization Manager to ensure awareness of common issues and consistency and uniformity across the network
- Manage and support the growth in traffic to maintain network performance in line with KPI targets
- Liaise with other departments , equipment suppliers , vendors and other mobile operators as per business needs
- CDD- Support Roll- out Team in timely provision of Cell Design Data for integration of new sites for all vendors nationwide. Analyzing drive test reports for new launches sites
- Understand the various parameters and setting available to us in Huawei and Ericsson network
- Complaints ensure timely resolution of customer complaints with due feedback to customer management team (CMT)
- Parameter analysis and propositioning verify default and non- default parameters and advise as to recommended figures
- Strategic optimization Manage new feature trial that would be quality / cost beneficent to Warid Telecom
- Data Network- Manage Warid Radio Network performance and optimization team for ensuring optimized GPRS /EDGE network settings
- Take Regional lead on making recommendation on Upcoming GSM related technologies and services for their feasibility of incorporation into Warid Telecoms network to meet business requirements and network improvements
- Recruit and manage regional optimization team members where necessary
- Assign tasks and responsibility and set objectives for Regional Optimization team
- Groom team members technically, professionally and managerially as required
- Establish a suitable development plan for the team members
- Field visit to area within assigned region
- Vendor and financial management
Key KPIs
- Managing vendors and to ensure contracted network , KPIs are met across the region
- Ensure resolution of regional customer complaints within defined SLAs
- Timely provision of CDDs
- Drive for resolution of KPI/ customer affecting issues
- Drive new feature trials
- > 60 % Network utilization for all network elements, subjected to minimum technical configuration
